Endeavours provides challenge and inspiration to young people excluded from society across the UK. Through a range of targeted programs it helps them take control of their future, to set and achieve their goals. Building on the skills of our founders, the team that conquered Everest, our specialist programmes now use all kinds of activities and challenges such as climbing, orienteering, IT, film making, canoeing, abseiling, drama, raft building, caving, and more to inspire and motivate. Our personal challenge approach develops self-esteem and essential core skills such as communication, team work and problem solving. Now we are expanding our work to include the promotion of literacy because this is the strongest key to open the way for all disadvantaged young people to have a chance to become citizens of tomorrow. Young people who come on to an Endeavour course can expect to achieve a great deal. Disaffected young people, who feel they have little control over their lives, benefit enormously from learning how to set their own goals. Combine this with a range of qualification outcomes, alongside personal guidance from our staff, and you have a winning formula that inspires young people to start to realise their potential.
